Apologies in advance for the brevity this week, as I had a bit of a family day today. It’s a major bye week, and there are a lot of tricky decisions across lineups, and I’m myself a bit behind and will be making a lot of last-minute decisions tomorrow morning. But there are some interesting situations created by trades and injuries this week, and I wanted to touch on at least a few.

D’Andre Swift

Swift appears likely to play, but the word is his role will be limited. Given how heavily skewed his snaps have been to passing downs this year, he’s had some games like last week where the snap share was there but the touches didn’t really follow.

I’m reading the limited note as tough to decipher, where the floor seems low but he’s also D’Andre Swift and there’s an explosive play and also an HVT element where you’re not benching him for just anyone. Basically, it might be 5-7 inefficient touches that amounts to very little, or it might be 10ish efficient touches with a strong lean toward receptions (especially with T.J. Hockenson out of the equation), and in that case you’d probably want him in your PPR lineups.

Jamaal Williams though seems likely to lead on the ground and in the green zone, continuing his run of rushing-based usefulness.
