After reading SS I threw together some package 2for1 offers in a full PPR, 4-4 team to move Diontae and Javonte. I ended up getting an almost instant accept for Brian Thomas Jr.
I feel pretty good about this given Thomas seems to have skirted injury and is a rocking rookie on an offense now without Kirk ROS.
It leaves me slightly thin at RB with Walker, Bucky Irving, Tracey, and Brooks - but I figure if Thomas or Waddle (who I also have, along with CeeDee & Brown) can ramp up I may be able to flip again for a RB if Brooks remains in a committee.
Enjoyed this post with thoughts surrounding buy / sell targets. I have Josh downs tank dell and Devonta smith. Need to start two this week and opponent has Jalen hurts. Half Ppr. Thinking of going with downs and smith but wanted your thoughts.
As a new subscriber I’ve appreciated all your work this season. Quick trade question: trade away Achane Devonta Smith Kincaid for London Bowers Hunt (I also have Pacheco stashed on IR). Only other starting RB is Gibbs (Vidal, Ty Chandler).
I mean I think bringing up Charlie Kolar here is just totally missing the forest for the trees. That’s a guy who has 9 targets on the year. Diontae is currently top 15 in the league in targets per game — I see what you’re saying generally and I think you make a valid bear case but I think you’re way too closed off to the possibility that the Ravens see something in him as a WR that they don’t see in Flowers or Bateman. I mean Justice Hill, Kolar, Ricard, and Agholor are combining for a 26% target share in this offense — I don’t think we have any reason to say with certainty (or even confidence) that Monken would prefer to keep it diffuse rather than consolidating with guys who have proven their ability to make plays.
I also think it’s way, way off base to say there’s it’s not “based in reality” that Baltimore trends towards more passing. They were top 11 in PROE last year and are now bottom four. They’ve also been around middle of the pack in weeks 5-8 so they’re actually already trending that way. Also you say Lamar isn’t a 40 drop back passer but that’s already happened twice this year with another game with 38 attempts. Add in that Baltimore has one of the biggest pass funnel defenses and I think you dismissing the pass volume out of hand is probably based less in reality than being open to the possibility that they’ll have a higher PROE over the second half of the season than the first half.
Obviously, no one knows how it’ll shake out. But I think the upside scenario has a lot more meat on it than you’re giving it credit for. There are very few players you could trade him for with the market being so down on him who have his upside scenario, even if it’s as you say and it’s all contingent upside aside two injury prone WRs and a TE who has also been hurt a lot.
How much do you shoot for upside Ben? I'm currently 7-1 and battled through multiple concussions to Nabers, Olave, Jamo out a few weeks but I'm still scoring well. I have the chance to get CMC off an owner who's struggling and with the Diontae news I was thinking of offering Javonte and Flowers. More is it worth it to take the risk when I'm in the position to do so or do I just stick with what's been working. I only have Pollard, Warren and Brooks coming back but that's also a large question mark
Would u trade Dell and Worthy for Zay. I have Dhop too so I feel like I’m hedging my upside by having both. With Diggs out for the szn too I think it’s easy to sell on Dell when he clearly isn’t who he was before.

Am I right to feel good about this deal?
think that is a clear win, nice work!
