I never comment. But I had sheer terror run through my body when you said. Monday night football for the championship and it was Vikings and packers. I didn’t even need to finish reading. That team is still named, Too Soon, Mike Boone. Thanks for all your work.

It’s actually really refreshing to hear someone like Ben discuss how tough these start/sit decisions in finals week can be and how the wrong call can easily haunt you. Unfortunately I think many are haunted by the Boone start decision from 2019 - we had the same exact scenario with Boone/Diggs in one of my leagues and it also went the wrong way. Hopefully the ball bounces the right way for everyone this weekend. Thanks for a great season Ben - first year I subscribed and definitely not my last.

So…you’re saying I should start Diggs instead of Pacheco or Cook? 😂

Ben you are good at describing the ambiguity that makes up much of fantasy football. Glad to follow an analyst that wears his heart on his sleeve at times and very transparent- we shouldn’t look to you for every start/sit because some of these decisions bring the most insane results due to variance. Anyways you always bring the greatest value to me in the pre-draft season where I pay very little attention but cram through your work and it really has helped me identify/draft key players several times. Enjoy some time away and I look forward to getting up to speed again around mid-July. Cheers!

Book reco: 4,000 weeks, time management for mortals. From your writing I think you’d like this fresh perspective on time. Audio version is great. Sam Harris did a full series with Oliver on his meditation app. Best ‘business’ book I’ve read in a really long time. Thanks for the season.

Thank you for articulating the struggle in fantasy football start sit decisions and the general angst that can result. It's good to remember we play this game for fun and a distraction from crummy things that happen in real life. Of the challenging things that have happened in the last week (canceled flights/cars, my sisters and wife's mom/grandparents getting covid) me losing in the semis in a home league barely registers. It still really sucked though - and while it happened in specatuclar fashion and even got sympathy from TMR (https://twitter.com/MatthewBerryTMR/status/1607175673919176704?t=RFcj13eAl4Vq0Xibm0t3Lw&s=19) the start sit I agonized over ended up being the difference - Njoku over Kmet but that wasn't what made the loss painful. I lost by. 0.15 on a 25 point swing from the h2h result of me starting the Broncos against her rams which were the only players either of us had going on Sunday. I had picked up the broncos and titans as options over the eagles who I road all year which also forced my opponent into the rams. So many outs and I managed to whiff. It was kind cool to see thousands of people empathize with a bad beat but also makes it harder to move on. Anyway, thanks for everything and remember that being the most unfortunate fantasy player in America isn't much worse on the household level than a child's Christmas gift getting glitter everywhere.

Ben, just want to say thank you for all the thought-provoking writing you’ve done here this year. The discussion on *why* some of these start/sit decisions are so difficult is illuminating. I hope you and your loved ones have a happy and prosperous new year!
