Great read. Thx for putting much thought into this. And I think you’ve convinced me to push Moore down a tier

Thanks for responding so thoroughly, Ben. I have my home league Draft Saturday and am trying to get everything ironed out before then. I’m overweight on Keenan and Rome, so just wanted to see if I should recalibrate. Appreciate it!

I've generally been out on Moore because his 3rd round price tag is more expensive than the 5/6 price for Allen and Odunze. If I want a piece of the Bears, I'm playing through Allen/Odunze and Williams. Another reason I'm hesitant to buy any of the Bears is that, as a Seahawk fan, I've watched Shane Waldron for the past few years, and I am not impressed with his offense or his ability to scheme and adapt in-game to what is happening. He was underwhelming. After seeing how JSN was misused last year, I have zero confidence that Waldron's offense can support three top-tier WRs. Moore is a good WR, but the combination of price to acquire and Shane Waldron make him an easy fade for me this year. As Ben said, this might equate to a small miss. But I do not think he will bury me. If he does, salute!

Curious your take on diggs, Moore, Metcalf order?

I've never been a big DJ Moore guy - there's always been someone in his tier that I've liked better - so this is not coming from a DJM truther.

For me, outside of innate talent, there are three environmental factors that affect a WR's targets: coaching (scheme), QBs, and other receiving options. DJM arguably has an upgrade in all 3 this year - even with Waldron's limitations, it's not like he's following Kyle Shanahan. The first 2 upgrades are positive for Moore, but playing with better WRs (and/or TEs) could be a negative.

The issue is, will the better WR talent take away more targets than lessened defensive attention will increase his targets/efficiency? I'd guess that the answer is yes, but I could see that going the other way. What's the research on that?

I probably should throw in a 4th environmental factor: home field weather/domed stadium.

Diggs has the best QB and probably the best OC (and all 3 have HC's w/defensive pedigree so the OC is particularly important) - although Ben has been talking up Grubb - and is the only one in a home dome. Talent among the 3 is debatable, Diggs probably was the best at his peak, but his age has also probably diminished that. FWIW, I think moving from BUF weather to a dome may hide his age decline this year.

I'd put Metcalf 2nd, but close to Diggs because JK is the clear #1 in the offense while Diggs is 1B, and Moore 3rd.
