Hey Ben! New subscriber this year, and I already couldn't be more pleased with my investment. Big time thank you. Do you ever include any write-ups about weekly streaming quarterbacks?

Unfortunately these articles are the main info I'll offer here. It's a bear to do these on Mondays and Tuesdays, and I have some other stuff I have to hit on later in the week.

I believe Montgomery left the game for a while on Sunday Night with an injury which might explain why his snap % was lower than expected

Just wanted to send a quick note of appreciation for 1) answering my question in generous depth, and 2) spending so much time digging into the details of every game and answering your readers when you have other significant demands on your time. As a father of two young children myself, I completely empathize with your first paragraph; the daily struggle of balancing family and work life is not to be underestimated. It means a lot that you take some of that time and devote it here.

Do you think we should be keeping Elijah Mitchell over high-value stashes such as Rondale and Tony Pollard?

Ben Gretch's avatar

Yeah I think you kinda have to. We're going to get so much more information on Mitchell in the next couple weeks, whereas with Rondale and Pollard you're kind of just holding tight for a bit.

Hi Ben,

What do you think about Robert Woods v Myles Gaskins for week 2 in the flex half PPR?

My analysis is that Woods is probably a way higher ceiling especially versus the Colts who gave up a ton of fantasy points to receivers last week, but I am slightly concerned about his limited targets in week 1. I know its not a big enough sample size to panic, but it would be good to see that workload increase before I play him.

Gaskins to me has the higher floor for the week. I'm encouraged that Gaskins was the clear RB1 despite the other two rushers getting a solid amount of touches. The bills looked Stout against the run last week and improved from last year, but I'm not sure if thats mostly attributed to the Steelers inexperienced o-line along with a rookie rusher in his first game.

Any thoughts?

Edit: in case anyone cares or has any opinion on my line of thinking lol

Kenny Moore is the Colts slot corner, and the best on their team. Woods lines up in the slot occasionally, but its pretty much the only place that Kupp will line up. I think Kupp is going to have a harder time getting open than last week, which should open up some opportunities for woods. Leaning him now.

I think you have a good read on the player comparisons and matchups. I would go with Woods also.

Hey Ben! I snagged Elijah Mitchell but am still a bit confounded by what his usage will look like. Do you feel confident enough to start him over a safer option like Chase Edmonds? Thanks!

Thanks for all info Gretch! Hamler or MVS? I scooped Hamler but wondering where you’d rank him compared to MVS with the higher target share, air yards & better QB?

New sub and first year trying zero/hero RB. Loved learning draft strategy from Ship Chasing on YT. This in depth analysis really helps me make start sit decisions. Question, how much stock do you put in WR/DB matchups when deciding on WR start/sit decisions on your rosters? Thanks.

Trade question for the Stealing Signals community: would you trade away Chase Claypool and Ty'Son Williams to acquire Brandon Aiyuk and James Robinson? I'm trying to think a little more long-term and weighing in Ben's findings from this week's games. My read on Shanahan's comments is that he's showing Aiyuk some tough love, that he is still working into game shape, and that this is the lowest his value will drop. In contrast, my concern level on Claypool is pretty high, for more tangible reasons (role and Ben's dwindling arm talent). I also believe that Ty'Son Williams is going to be one of those players I never feel comfortable using going forward, a suspicion reinforced by the Ravens' recent moves (promoting Freeman to the active roster) and Harbaugh's latest comments.

Those are some reasons to make the move. Now, some reasons to stand pat: Aiyuk remains in the doghouse, Claypool's role changes due to something like player injury (Dionte Johnson is not the picture of health), Ty'Son Williams separates from his competition, and Urban Meyer plays RB roulette all season long. FWIW, the WRs would be a swap of WR4s, the RBs a swap of prospective RB2s (have Cook, am going RBBC at RB2). Any strong opinions? Thanks!

Ben…hearing a lot of positivity regarding Mecole. I know it’s one week but would you offer Elijah Moore for him.

He offered me Mecole for Rondale and I declined but I also have Elijah and I was considering a counter offer.

Awesome work Ben. Spent my entire night reading both parts. On to the question, how much concern should I have regarding Tannehill. That O-Line looked awful and he pretty clearly hasn’t figured things out with Julio yet. He’s my starter until Lance and I’m close to dropping him tomorrow. Not feeling great about firing him up against the Seahawks in Seattle.

Have Bernard. Rojo and Gainwell are available. Would you drop Gio for either? Supposedly Rojo will start this week. Went 0RB, got Gaskins in 7th but then went Sermon, J. Williams so more looking for someone I can play now versus a stash.

Not Ben, but I’d drop Gio for either of those guys in a heartbeat. Especially with you having some solid options. Just shoot for the upside.

Rondale Moore has been disrespected in my league by not being drafted or rostered. While he is freely available, is he worth a bench stash over the likes of Will Fuller (my lowest value receiver), or Rhamondre Stevenson or Tony Pollard (my lowest value backs)? 0.5 PPR

Hey Ben. How would you handle a 5 man bench with zero RB build? I seem to have a 2 WR/2RB with Lance in most of em. Thanks!
